Riding into Reflection: A Sino-French Exhibition on Equine Culture

Tracing the development of horse culture in China and France, this exhibition explores the significant role of horses in both civilizations through the lenses of history, art, and social life. More than 200 sets of artifacts and artworks are on display, including harnesses like stirrups, saddles, bits, spurs, and saddle ornaments, as well as bronzes, paintings, and sculptures featuring horses.

By examining how people and horses have interacted in different cultural contexts, the exhibition reveals both the contrasts and connections between Chinese and French civilizations, offering a reflection on the ideal of "harmony in diversity and beauty in coexistence".

The exhibition is organized by Prince Kung's Palace Museum and Chateau de Chantilly, and is co-sponsored by China Tourism Group and The Hong Kong Jockey Club.
