Dates: March 31, 2026-June 30, 2026

Location: Ledao Hall

In the over 800-year-old Old Town of Lijiang, a UNESCO World Heritage site in Yunnan province, the grand residence of the Mu chieftains – known as the Mufu Mansion – evokes the splendor of an imperial palace with its majestic wooden architecture and stately layout. It stands as a testament to centuries of cultural exchange and integration among ethnic groups in Southwest China.

This landmark exhibition is the first of its kind in China to explore the historical significance and cultural richness of the Mufu Mansion. Bringing together more than 70 artifacts and archival materials from 10 museums and libraries across Beijing and Yunnan, it marks the first large-scale, systematic showcase of artifacts related to the Mu chieftains and the Mufu Mansion.

Here, within the historical halls of Prince Kung's Palace Museum, you are invited to "wander" through the Mufu Mansion of Lijiang – bridging time, space, and cultures in a single immersive journey.
