As one of the first integrity education bases for national and central government agencies, Prince Kung's Palace Museum launched a thematic exhibition on integrity culture in 2023, drawing upon its rich historical resources of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) princely residence to present traditional Chinese moral values in tandem with contemporary anti-corruption practices.
Since its opening, the Integrity Culture Education Exhibition has attracted numerous government bodies, enterprises, and institutions. In response to growing demands for guided tours — especially from Party members — the museum has launched the "Party Member Volunteer Instructors on Integrity" initiative in celebration of the 104th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.
This initiative mobilizes Party member volunteer instructors to deliver in-depth, clear, and informative interpretations of the exhibition. From Du Xiangsi, a senior docent with 33 years of Party membership, to Liang Yu, who has firsthand experience in disciplinary inspection, and Xu Yanping, who is committed to connecting integrity culture with the museum's unique historical narrative—these volunteers enhance the educational impact by resonating with audiences both personally and ideologically.
Tailored explanations cater to visitors spanning different ages, covering stories from traditional Chinese morality to the downfall of the infamous Heshen (Qing Dynasty official, 1750-1799, one of the owners of Prince Kung's Palace), and extending to the Party's modern efforts in promoting discipline and integrity.
Moving forward, the museum will continue to refine this program through mentorship by senior and new volunteer instructors, customized tour explanations, and enhanced service models—ensuring that the spirit of clean governance continues to thrive in Prince Kung's Palace Museum.
