Altar of the Sacred Beasts

The Altar of the Sacred Beasts is a shrine specifically constructed to worship the "Four Immortals" - the fox, hedgehog, weasel and snake. Given the frequent sightings of these creatures within the garden, the inhabitants of the palace would perform regular rituals at the altar, offering incense and prayers as a means of seeking protection from illness and misfortune.
