In Qing Dynasty princely mansions, the grand hall located on the main axis was known as Yin'an Hall (Hall of Silver Peace). This was the place where significant rituals and festive events were held. Adorned with screens, thrones, and ceremonial artifacts, Yin'an Hall was a focal point of the palace. Unfortunately, Yin'an Hall and its accompanying structures on the east and west sides of Prince Kung's Palace were destroyed by a devastating fire early in the 20th century, leaving behind only their foundations. The Yin'an Hall that stands today, along with its restored side halls, has been reconstructed faithfully to its original design.
