Dates: May 1-Aug 24
Location: Jiale Hall
The exhibition showcases the techniques used in the manufacture of Linqing tribute bricks and their role in the construction of the city of Beijing during the Ming and Qing dynasties (1368-1911), as well as in the building of Prince Kung's Palace.
The exhibition also presents the unique features of tile masonry craftsmanship employed in the construction of traditional Chinese official-style architecture (an intangible cultural heritage represented by Prince Kung's Palace).
Stories are told through the array of artifacts, ink rubbings, signboards, installations and simulated scenes.
