The exhibition features 50 paintings by Ieng Lai, chairman of the Macao Artists Association, and Tam Chek Wun, president of the Macao Visual Arts Association. Their works depict scenes of the Historic Centre of Macao, including churches, temples and old streets, rendered in both traditional Chinese painting and Western watercolor styles. Accompanied by textual illustrations, the exhibition offers insight into the beauty of Macao from historical, artistic and architectural perspectives, highlighting its significant role in exchanges between Chinese and Western cultures.
Co-hosted by Prince Kung's Palace Museum and the Macao Visual Arts Association, the exhibition is in celebration of the 25th anniversary of Macao’s return to China and the 19th anniversary of the Historic Centre of Macao being inscribed onto the World Heritage list.
