Pu Xinyu (1896-1963), a descendent of the Qing imperial clan Aisin Gioro and a cousin of the last emperor Puyi, holds a significant place in modern Chinese fine arts history. Sixty-three of Pu's artworks, encompassing calligraphy, paintings, as well as drafts, sketches, and studies, have been carefully selected from six museums across China, including Prince Kung's Palace Museum. These selections illuminate his unique artistry, deeply rooted in the traditional and classical Chinese cultural legacy. They offer viewers a profound insight into Pu's artistic journey, showcasing his process of learning painting and the evolution of his final works.
