Assorted patterned windows (shijin chuang) are a type of window style in traditional Chinese garden architecture. They serve as both decorative elements and landscape frames, making them typical representatives of classical Chinese garden architecture.
Based on their manufacturing types, they can be categorized into openwork windows and windows with glass panels set in the frames of both sides and cannot be opened. Assorted patterned windows can be divided into fan-shaped windows, full-moon-shaped windows, interlocked-ring windows, diamond-shaped windows, plum blossom windows, and octagonal windows.
