To fully appreciate the beauty of the Chinese rose, visit the Moon-Inviting Terrace, the Chenghuai Xiexiu, and the South Hill at the Garden of Gathered Splendor, also known as the rear garden of Price Kung's Palace. The prime time for viewing is late spring to early summer.
Chenghuai Xiexiu, situated in the northwest section of the rear garden, consists of a cluster of buildings facing a water pool. In front of the structure, there were formerly several crabapple trees, leading to its alternative name - Crabapple Belvedere.
