Location: West Zone 2
This educational exhibition with the theme of integrity culture firstly traces the origins of Chinese concepts of lianjie (integrity) by presenting classic examples and quotations of honesty and incorruptibility from China's history.
The second section focuses on Heshen, the first owner of Prince Kung's Palace and an infamous high ranking official of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). Historical archives reveal his abuse of power, manipulation of office, and large-scale bribery. When viewed alongside the original palace architecture where he once lived, these documents offer a sobering lesson on how greed and corruption ultimately ruined his life.
The exhibition culminates with reflection on the century-long history of the Communist Party of China, outlining its policies and principles on clean governance across different times, and reflecting the Party's tradition of self-reform to preserve its advanced nature and integrity.
