A group of 26 families participated in a guided tour to learn about the architectural know-how and construction expertise that went into building the complex. They were introduced to the serene and harmonious living style that the Chinese have aspired to since ancient times.

Families also joined in the fu-culture-themed drama performance workshop where they shared memories associated with fu (blessing) and created performances to showcase their understandings of fu. It created a way for different generations to communicate with each other in the museum setting.

The events showcase the traditional architectural expertise and the principle of harmonious coexistence between human and nature that guided the constructional design and method. They also fostered stronger bonds of family affection between generations.

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the establishment of Prince Kung’s Palace Museum, and through the series of events for International Museum Day, it aims to create a vibrant cultural space and open the door to the museum to the public.
