Strategic cooperation with local news media to promote innovative development

Feng Nai’en (right) and Liu Junsheng, editor-in-chief of Beijing News, signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Beijing.

The signing ceremony of a strategic cooperation agreement between Prince Kung’s Palace Museum and Beijing News was officially held in Beijing on Feb 21st.

According to the agreement, the two sides will carry out in-depth cooperation in media promotion, organizing cultural activities, and developing cultural and creative products.

The signing ceremony was attended by Feng Nai’en, director and Party secretary of Prince Kung’s Palace Museum, Liu Junsheng, Party secretary and editor-in-chief of Beijing News, Su Ning, deputy director of Prince Kung’s Palace Museum, and Li Hai, deputy Party secretary and chief editor of Beijing News.

Prince Kung’s Palace Museum is committed to building a safe, academic, digital, and public museum, and its mission is to protect, develop, and fully utilize the palace site and its collections. It was listed as a national key cultural relic protection organization in 1982, upgraded to a national 5A-level tourist attraction in 2012, and designated as a national first-class museum in 2017.

Beijing News is a mainstream media organization supervised by the Publicity Department of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee. It is a comprehensive modern media organization that integrates communication through “newspaper, website, mobile app, social media, and screen”.

A meeting between Prince Kung’s Palace Museum and Beijing News is held at the signing ceremony.

After the signing ceremony, the two parties held a meeting to discuss how museum professionals and journalists can join forces to explore the historical and cultural significance behind the cultural relics, and provide the public with abundant cultural content in various forms, in celebration of the 40th anniversary of the founding of the museum.

The museum will make full use of the various channels of Beijing News to distribute its rich cultural resources and communicate with the public, including its newspaper, website, and mobile application. The museum will also cooperate with Beijing News in the creation of high-quality online features and livestreams.

The two sides will jointly organize cultural activities and events, collaborate in the development and customization of unique cultural and creative products, and share resources and channels for design, production, logistics, and sales.
