Museum signs cooperation framework agreement with the China Soong Ching Ling Science & Cultural Center For Young People

On September 28, the Prince Kung’s Palace Museum and the China Soong Ching Ling Science & Cultural Center For Young People signed a cooperation framework agreement in Beijing. Rao Quan, vice minister of Culture and Tourism, and Yu Qun, vice chairperson of the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation, attended the ceremony and delivered a speech.

Rao Quan stated that young people are the country’s future and the nation’s hope. It is critical to guide the youth in cultivating their national sentiment by promoting and inheriting traditional Chinese culture and enhancing cultural identity.

Rao expressed his hope that through this cooperation, the two sides will actively explore the effective integration of culture and tourism, cultural relics and public education for youth, exploit the manifold values of cultural relics and cultural heritage, and disseminate more value symbols and cultural products that embody Chinese culture and the spirit of China. 

Yu Qun said that the Chinese nation’s unique wisdom accumulated over thousands of years, is a valuable asset for forging the soul and nurturing people in the new era. 

Yu hoped that both sides will take the this cooperation as an opportunity to give full play to public education service resources, carry out activities with rich content and innovative forms, and allow the cultural genes of the Chinese nation to take root in the hearts of young people.

The guests who attended the signing ceremony visited the exhibition of students’ artworks and watched a folk music ensemble, a crosstalk, and Peking Opera performed by the Soong Ching Ling Peace Angels Art Troupe and representatives of the “Little Ambassadors of Culture”. 

Officials of relevant departments and bureaus of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism attended the ceremony.
