Overview of collection donations

Updated: Aug 13, 2018

Prince Kung's Palace Museum has received a lot of support from all walks of life ever since its opening, including substantial donations. According to statistics, the museum has received 173 sets of donated collections, including furniture, utensils, ancient books, old photos, paintings and calligraphy, seals, and auction catalogs of the old collection of Prince Kung's Palace.

Spanning hundreds of years from the Ming Dynasty(1368-1644)to modern times, these collections have high historical and artistic value. For example, precious furniture from the Ming and Qing dynasties (1368-1911), old photos of Prince Kung's mansion in different eras, and a double-sided stamp with seal carvings of "Xijin Studio" and "Prince Kung" on each side, have played a huge role in the museum's exhibition and academic research into cultural relics.
