A Dream of Red Mansions (the Story of the Stone) is an excellent representative of China traditional culture, and it has a high place in world literature. Cao Xueqin’s description to Prince Rong’s and Ning’s two mansions and Grand View Garden in A Dream of Red Mansions has aroused readers’ interest in exploration. Prince Kung’s Mansion is the number one well-protected imperial mansion in China at present. It has a tight connection with A Dream of Red Mansions. Since the period of studies on A Dream of Red Mansions began, the Mansion has become a key place in researching A Dream of Red Mansions. One is “famous literature works”, and the other is “famous mansion”. What an astonishing relationship between these two sides. Therefore, we have the responsibility of holding this exhibition by a large number of interesting and well-arranged historical documents to explain an extraordinary historical and literary past to the public.
